Sound Meditation

A therapeutic remedy that uses sound for healing, sound bath / meditation has been used since ancient times by the Tibetans, Egyptians, Aboriginals and Greek philosophers. The sound bowls speak to us individually and the vibration of sound travels through each and every cell of our body. Meditation means to drop everything which is in one’s memory and go to the state where only consciousness remains, where only awareness remains. Meditation means awareness. Whatever you do with awareness is meditation. “Watching your breath” is meditation; listening to the birds is meditation. As long as these activities are free from any other distraction to the mind, it is effective meditation.

The word meditation is derived from two Latin words: “meditari” = (to think, to dwell upon, to exercise the mind) and “mederi” = (to heal). Its Sanskrit derivation “medha” means wisdom.

From Tibetans to the aboriginals, music has had therapeutic effects since thousands of years.
